To adopt a pug, start here!


100% of your tax deductible adoption fee goes towards the rescue and rehabilitation of our pugs.


Please complete our digital application below (red button: "Adoption Application"). As a show of good faith, we require a $10 donation for our volunteers to review your application.  


We review all applications with the goal of finding the best home for our rescue pug. We consider many factors when determining this.


If the pug you’re interested in is being fostered in an area near you, we can arrange a meet-n-greet outdoors or at a local park.


The home check ensures that the pug will live and thrive in a safe environment. Due to the pandemic, we now request pictures and videos of your home in lieu of an in-person home check.


Once we approve your application:

- You pay a 50% deposit to hold the pug

- You initial and sign the adoption agreement

- You make the final payment before you pick up your pug

See our available pugs on our Instagram ("Adopt Me!" button). NOTE: we try our best to update this, but our rescue rate happens faster than we can keep up with! If you don’t see a pug for you, please contact us or complete the application with your pug preferences.

We prefer to match our pugs with their forever homes BEFORE they arrive in the US. As a 100% volunteer organization, we don’t have a physical facility to house our dogs, relying instead on our network of foster families in South Korea to care for our pugs until they fly to the US to their adopter. (In rare cases, we will foster a dog in Southern California before they find their forever home.)

Please remember that you’re applying for a dog that has been rescued, relinquished, or found as a stray in South Korea. We make every effort to treat any medical issues discovered by a vet or foster, but we cannot prevent or predict future illnesses, and we cannot guarantee life expectancy. All pugs are adopted as-is.   • Once approved, we require a 50% deposit to hold the pug and confirm the adoption.

  • You will need to be available between M-F to meet our team member and pickup the pug at Los Angeles International Airport (or your local International US airport). The complicated and timely process of preparing pugs for international travel means that if you are unable to arrange pickup during these hours, unfortunately we will not be able to send the pug.

  • All U.S. adoption fees include:

- Examination(s) by a veterinarian in Korea
- Spayed or neutered dog from South Korea
- Vaccination certificate (signed by Korean vet) showing proof of vaccinations for rabies and DHPPL
- Microchip (please register chip in your name)
- Leash and harness
- Cargo-approved travel crate for international flight
- Any necessary medication

Due to the financial investment incurred in transporting the pugs internationally, we cannot give refunds. Please make sure you are as committed to this process as we are.

While we do accommodate out-of-state adoptions, we require all adopters come directly to Los Angeles to finalize the adoption. The process is slightly different since a meet-n-greet of the pug is not available and the home check is done through photographs or video. A 50% deposit is required to hold the pug, with the balance due on the day of arrival. The pug must then be picked up within 7 days of their landing in the U.S.A. Should additional time be needed, a $100 surcharge will be added on for each extra week. (We do not have a physical rescue facility and will need to find a potential foster to care for your pug until they can be safely picked up). Our preference is for the pug to be picked up as quickly as possible to avoid any attachment and/or transition issues. If you require transportation assistance while in Los Angeles, we suggest Uber or taxi services which are available at the airport.

Note: Current cargo fares for dogs start at $1000, so your contribution would help cover part of this cost

*All adoption fees are 100% tax deductible. Due to the amount of time, effort and financial investment put into finding forever homes for our pugs, we cannot give refunds. Once we process the adoption, all adoption and shipping fees are non-refundable. Please make sure you are as commited to the process as we are. All fees are subject to change.








As of November 25, 2020, travelers arriving to Los Angeles by airplane or train will have to sign a form acknowledging California's quarantine policies to help stop the spread of COVID 19. If you are over the age of 16 and arriving from another state or country, you must submit the form online prior to or upon arrival at Los Angeles International Airport, Van Nuys Airport or Union Station.
